15 June 2015

Barrett Steel Offshore Limited supplied 400t of laser cut precision components which will be used in the BP Quad 204 project 2015 campaign.
BP confirmed earlier this year that drilling has started on the first well in a seven-year development drilling campaign at its massive Quad 204 project West of Shetland. Our customer's work in the oil and gas sector includes pipe laying, trenching and drilling, oil monitoring packages and the production of mooring equipment.

The contract was fulfilled from our Middlesbrough site utilizing some of our 11 in house state of the art laser machines including our newest investment of the Plasma tube processer. Our Middlesbrough service centre houses stocked grades of material specifically for the offshore and energy sectors as well as processing capabilities for material up to 1500mm dia.

We provided high quality precision components ready for assembly. The assembly area shown here is 100m x 18m with 24 subsea deployment baskets which use the material supplied by Barrett’s. All welding and NDE carried out in accordance with EEMUA 158.

Full Factory acceptance testing was completed on site.

Barrett Steel Offshore are proud to have delivered this successful contract to this prestigious project.
