We are proud to announce that Barrett Steel Ireland, a branch of Barrett Steel Limited, the UK’s largest steel stockholder has helped to raise a phenomenal sum of £22,062 for Warrenpoint Port who use the funds raised to support local causes. Barrett Steel are always keen to get involved in helping local charities within the communities they work within.

With the help of our donations, Warrenpoint Port has had almost 40 local organisations apply for the funding, compared to just over 20 last year. With the large amount that was raised, the number of local organisations that can be supported has almost doubled. Many of these are also new organisations who did not benefit in the previous years.

Together we helped to fund one months’ worth of oxygen supply to the local Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre; Bought Christmas dinner for 25 families currently availing of support from Woman’s AID; supported a bereavement support day for families at Southern Area Hospice alongside many other community projects.
