We can now announce that we have made the following Group Board appointments with immediate effect. These appointments reflect our commitment to continuity and future growth, as well as the importance of handing over the baton to the next generation of leaders.
 

• Richard Barrett – Non Executive Chairman
• Andy Warcup – Chief Executive Officer
• Guy Barrett – Chief Operating Officer
• Tom Barrett – Chief Commercial Officer

 
Richard has been a Non Executive Director of the Group for many years having previously owned Barrett Steel Buildings until Richard sold the business as an MBO in 2007.

Andy has been with Barrett’s for 24 years having joined from Caparo. Andy initially ran the CMT Depot in the Midlands before becoming Group CFO in 2012 and latterly COO from 2017.

Guy joined from university and learnt his trade working in all departments and has been Group Purchasing Director since 2018. A key focus for Guy has been improving our supply chain into our hub sites throughout the UK.

Tom has also worked for the Group since leaving university again working in all departments.Tom as MD of our Rotherham site has been instrumental in developing the business into a market leader in profiling in the UK while holding a Group Commercial Director role driving commercial policy through the Group.

Marcus Tyldsley continues in the role of Chief Financial Officer having joined from KPMG 7 years ago.

The Group Board structure above compliments our day to day Group Management Board which comprise of Andy, Guy, Tom and Marcus as well as John Childs, Group Operations Director, Dave Reece, Managing Director Engineering and Tubes Divisions and Rob Ridge, Strategic Business Development Director.
