Barrett Steel backs Mind on World Mental Health Day

10 October 2019

Our colleagues from across the UK have been busy raising support for our Corporate Charity Mind UK.
Today is World Mental Health Day. Mental health problems can affect anyone, any day of the year, but 10 October is a great day to show your support for better mental health and start looking after your own wellbeing.

Our colleagues have been busy over the last few weeks raising money for Mind UK to help support people across the UK suffering from mental health problems.

Below are just a couple of the events we have hosted to raise money for Mind UK.

Charity Sporting Dinner - Friday 4th October

Our Director Rob and his friends held a fantastic Charity Dinner in the North East to collectively raise money for Mink UK and The British Lung Foundation. With support from Ex Newcastle United players, John Beresford and Robert Lee they raised a fantastic £4530 for both charities with over 250 people in attendance.

Barrett Steel Racing at Croft - No Limits Cup 12/13th October

Our Barrett Steel Racing Team comprising of Liam Dale (Key Account Manager - Barrett Steel Services) and his family are using their last race of the season to raise money for Mind UK this weekend. If you are heading to the race please head to the Barrett Steel Racing team in the pits and donate towards this fantastic cause. We also wish Liam and the team the best of luck for their last outing of the season.

Minds goal is to provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding and they won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.

If you feel like you ever need support please head to the mind website here where there is always someone available to talk.
