This depot is fully integrated into the Barrett Steel Group, giving you direct access to our massive stockholding—over 2,000 tonnes of structural steel always on hand, from 1mm through to 180mm thick. That includes a wide range of specialist grades: abrasion-resistant, oCorten, high-yield, and more. The depth of stock means we can move quickly on even the most demanding requirements without the usual hold-ups.

At Barrett Steel Profiling, our depot is powered by advanced Rapid Angle Line CNC drilling technology, purpose-built to deliver precision, productivity, and scale for angle and flat bar processing. With the capability to process angles from 60x60x6mm up to 250x250x40mm in high-strength steel, our line combines high-speed carbide drilling (up to 32mm diameter), disc sawing, scribing, and milling in a single, highly efficient operation. A 27kW spindle running at up to 3,500 RPM, paired with independent sub-axis positioning, allows us to drill offset holes in both angle legs simultaneously—eliminating unnecessary repositioning and dramatically improving throughput and accuracy. We can handle input lengths up to 12.2 metres and produce finished components up to 6 metres, alongside flat bar processing from 80x10mm to 250x25mm. Originally developed for fracture-critical applications where punching and shearing are prohibited, this technology ensures compliance with the most demanding engineering and safety standards, making it ideal for bridges, transmission towers, infrastructure, mining, transport, warehousing, and large-scale construction projects.
