CHARITY CALENDAR RAISES OVER £7K
25 January 2012
Barrett Steel's Rotherham Depot, C Roberts Steel Services, have raised over £7,000 for Bone Cancer Research through their charity calendar.
19 C Roberts steelworkers stripped to the bare metal in a tribute to student Alexander Albiston, who died aged 18 after a two-year battle with bone cancer.
The calendar was the idea of Mr April, Peter Jackson, a friend of the Albiston family, who persuaded 18 of his workmates at C Roberts Steel Services to strip off.
Photographer Simon Kendrick and the calendar’s makers gave their services for free and the proceeds will go to the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
