Barrett Steel is a long-established supplier of raw materials to the specialist aerospace ground support sector, including high-profile operators such as Airbus and GKN, as well as a number of sub-contractors.

Our long-term partnerships with our customers in this field are based on our ability to quickly provide a huge range of off-the-shelf, high quality stock at competitive prices, including bright and black carbon and alloy steel bars, sheet, plate, box section and angles. We hold over 60,000 tonnes of general steel and complementary products across our country-wide network of 29 depots.

Processing and production facilities

As well as competitive prices, immediate availability and reliable delivery, our customers also benefit from a total one-stop shop thanks to our state-of-the-art processing and manufacturing facilities. Recent acquisitions include a £440,000 tube manipulation machine and two new tube lasers at a cost of £1.6 million. In addition, our range of leading-edge equipment includes:

• saw and drill lines
• profiling plants
• punching and shearing systems
• nine laser cutting machines
• six shot blasting and priming plants
• 125 saws.

Our customers can also completely rely on our in-house transport fleet for prompt and efficient delivery.
